On July 2, 2001 all MAICO diagnostics distributors were advised that Maico Diagnostics would discontinue production of the Beltone BA119 audiometer. Specifically, effective July 2, 2001 the production of the Beltone BA119 audiometer ended. An inventory of repair components is being maintained by Maico through the year 2008, to accommodate repairs. The recommended replacement audiometer for the Beltone BA119 is the Maico Model MA-39 audiometer. It has the same frequency and attenuation properties as the 119, a sturdy built-in carrying case and an exceptional service history.
